So Google is moving on from Picasa. The alternate, Google Photos, suggested at the site, is just the upload application.
Picasa desktop application has good functions for basic image editing and enhancements.
The download links are no more there. In case installer is required, you'll need to refer to Software Repository sites.
The following links are are still working although these are removed from Download page:
